Equiflex Flooring was founded in 2014, built by a team of industry professionals with more than 30 years of combined experience. What started as a mission to create safer, more durable surfaces for the livestock industry quickly evolved into a trusted name in custom rubber flooring — designed to outperform the competition in both durability and value.
Originally developed for horse and livestock facilities, our signature poured-in-place flooring system is made from recycled rubber and tailored to each space. The seamless, permanent finish provides a slip-resistant, low-maintenance surface in trailers, barns and wash bays without the hassle of rubber mats.
Over time, demand for our non-slip flooring expanded beyond the livestock world. Today, it’s used on boats, docks, patios, pool decks, storefronts, dog kennels, and more.
No matter the setting, Equiflex surfaces are built to perform, made to last, and designed to give you a solid step up every time.
Every time I clean my flooring system, whether in the trailer or barn, I’m reminded how much I love it and how easy it is to keep everything nice and clean. If I need to sanitize or sterilize, that step is a breeze too.

This flooring is durable, non-slip, and easy to clean. It has held up well under regular use. Not to mention, one of the best-looking floors around. My horses are secure and comfortable during travel, making it a worthwhile investment.

Equiflex Flooring was the vision of Tyler John Shelstad—a man defined by courage, grit, and unwavering faith. He built this company not just as a business, but as a reflection of his core belief that every day is an opportunity to rise, grow, and become a little better than you were the day before.
Tyler was a devoted husband to his wife, Tori, and a loving father to their two sons, Tate and Tucker. Though he passed in November 2024, his legacy lives on—not only in every floor we pour, but through the continued leadership of his family and the impact of the 1Up Foundation, created in his honor to support families in need.
Everything we do is a tribute to his life, his faith, and the example he set. We don’t just install flooring—we carry on a mission. And we do it one step up, every single time.
